Holly Bank and Jasmine Cottages are set in the delightful, peaceful village of Thornthwaite, which nestles at the foot of Thornthwaite Forest, a short walk from the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. The village is just 3 miles from the lovely market town of Keswick with its many excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. It is perfectly situated for exploring the Northern Lakes and fells by foot, cycle or car.

Within easy reach are five beautiful lakes, England's three highest mountain ranges, glorious valleys, waterfalls and many historic, cultural and family attractions.

To find us
From the M6, follow the A66 West towards Keswick. Approx two miles past the Keswick junction and a few hundred yards past the turning for Braithwaite, is a signpost for Thornthwaite. Turning left off the A66 you will come across Thornthwaite Village after approx one mile. You will see the bus stop and telephone box next to the fields on the right; Holly Bank is on the left hand side, just a few yards further on. Parking is available in the garage or the driveway around the back of the property. This is reached by continuing along the road past the cottage for a hundred yards to a lane on the left. Drive up the lane to the first gate on the left, which is the entrance to Holly Bank.
